A 1918 Memorial Concert
Saturday, March 24th
Gig Caritas is promoting a concert at Dudley Town Hall on 24th March to commemorate the ending of the First World War. Restoration Chorus, Stourbridge Chamber Orchestra and Third From The Right Productions will present a programme devoted to peace (although it does kick off with Mars – the Bringer of War!). Tthe main work though, is the Armed Man by Karl Jenkins, an exciting mixture of styles performed by a choir and orchestra totalling over 120 performers.
Features special guest soprano soloist in Louise Maguire who is originally from the Black Country but now lives in Reims in France and is coming back especially. It is always a treat to listen to her voice.
Directed by Black Country Radio’s own Keith Horsfall, it promises to be a memorable evening so, if you are looking for something to do on the evening of the 24th, why not join us. We promise you won’t regret it!
The concert will also be broadcast on Black Country Radio on Easter Sunday between 6pm-8pm.
Proceeds to The Mayor of Dudley's Appeal Fund.
