A teenager has been arrested following a pursuit in Dudley yesterday afternoon.

Officers on routine patrol observed a car, driving erratically down Grange Road, which failed to stop. The vehicle also flagged up on the police ANPR system having recently been stolen during a burglary.

Following a short pursuit, an 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft of a motor vehicle. Following a search he was further arrested for possession of three machetes, a lock knife and possession of class A drugs.

He remains in police custody this evening and will be questioned in due course.
