Appeal following assault on boy in Dudley park

Police want to speak to a young male following a nasty group attack on a 12-year-old boy in Netherton Park in Dudley. 

The boy suffered three knife wounds to the head, a fractured arm, and his phone was also taken during the attack at just before 5pm on 24 June.

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault and released under investigation. A 12-year-old girl and another boy aged 13 have been voluntary interviewed in connection with the attack. PC Emily Wallin, from force CID at Dudley, said:

"This was a nasty attack but fortunately the knife wounds were not serious. He was left with a fractured arm and the whole experience was extremely traumatic for him. I would urge anyone who can help our enquiries to get in touch."
