Police are appealing for information following a fatal collision in Dudley in the early hours of this morning.

Officers were called to Duncan Edwards Way near to the town centre and Castle Gate Island just before 1am, where a motorcyclist and his passenger had been found seriously injured.

Sadly, Henryk Ortyl, aged 45, who is believed to have been the rider, died at the scene. No other vehicle is believed to have been involved and his family have been informed. They are being supported by specialist officers.

A 20-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries to his arm, where he remains this morning.
