Bilston Operatic Company are staging the Dickens' classic this Christmas and are looking for young actors to audition for the role of the Cratchit’s son, Tiny Tim, on Monday 17th July.

Auditionees must be able to play a young boy, aged between 7 and 9 years old and rehearsals for the successful actors will be on Mondays and some Thursdays. For full information on the auditions, please contact Sarah Houghton at bilstonoperatic@hotmail.co.uk.

The established theatre group return to Wolverhampton Grand this November with their production of 'A Christmas Carol', following the huge success of last year’s production of Our House and 2015’s Hairspray. The festive musical, featuring the music of Alan Menken (Disney’s Beauty And The Beast, Aladdin, Tangled, The Little Mermaid) will open on Tuesday 21st November.

The Charles Dickens story is given the full Broadway treatment and follows Ebenezer Scrooge - a prosperous curmudgeon who believes that personal wealth is far more valuable than the happiness and comfort of others. With an infuriated “Bah! Humbug!” Scrooge summates his feelings of Christmas tidings and charitable giving, but he’s forced to face his selfish ways when three ghosts on Christmas Eve lead him through his Past, Present and Future.

Bilston Operatic Company first formed in 1927 and performed annually at The Theatre Royal in Bilston for 30 years before moving to The Grand, where they have performed ever since. The society also has a youth company for younger members.

Tickets for A Christmas Carol are on sale now from the theatre's Box Office, by calling 01902 42 92 12 or online at grandtheatre.co.uk.
