An 11-year-old girl from Leicestershire has been airlifted to Birmingham Children's Hospital after falling from Splash Canyon at Drayton Manor Park.

West Midlands Ambulance Service has confirmed it was called to reports of a patient in the water at the Tamworth attraction, just after 2:00pm this afternoon. Staffordshire Police are also in attendance.

As well as the Midlands Air Ambulance, a senior paramedic officer, rapid response vehicle and community first responder were sent to the scene, with the first resource arriving within seven minutes. 

The girls parents have been informed and are being supported by officers. The Health and Safety Executive have also been informed of the incident.
