Brierley Hill Teenager And Dog Win 3rd Prize At Crufts

A Brierley Hill teenager and her dog have won third place in the Young Kennel Club Agility competition at Crufts.

It was a dream come true for Black Country teenager Bethany Morgan, and her five-year-old working Cocker Spaniel Loulou, who competed in the Young Kennel Club’s Agility competition for 18 to 24-year-olds at the world’s largest dog show at Birmingham’s NEC – and after enjoying their moment in the spotlight last Thursday the pair picked up third prize. Bethany, aged 18, a student at Halesowen College, said:

“I didn’t think I could finish on the podium. Loulou can be a bit unpredictable because she can get easily distracted so I didn’t know if she would do it.

“She’s just a bit special really, a bit mental, but I love her for that.”

Loulou was one among 22,000 dogs at this year’s Crufts show which attracted dogs and owners from all over the world.

The Best in Show award went to Jason Lynn and American Cocker Spaniel, Miami.
