A bruised woman was found in a state of undress in an alleyway off Brierley Hill yesterday morning.

Police cordoned off part of Brierley Hill High Street after a woman was found in an alleyway with bruising to her body. The woman, who was in a state of undress, was found just after 6am this morning.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said the woman, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, was taken to hospital and would be spoken to by officers in due course.
