Popular beer company, Budweiser, has announced it is stepping in to help curb drink driving by paying for cabs home for the entire country this evening.

Steph Okell from Budweiser UK said:

“We’ve run a lot of responsible drinking campaigns in the past, but for 2016 we wanted to take our commitments to the next level with an initiative of epic proportions that would really have an impact.

“If we can deter people from getting behind the wheel after drinking this Christmas, we’ll consider the campaign a success.”

And it's a campaign that could prove incredibly useful with anybody aged 18 or over, who's resident in the UK and signed up to UBER being able to take advantage.

To take advantage of the generous offer, the first thing you need to do is enter your details at the Budweiser website.

Once you've done that, Budweiser will send out a discount code to the email address you provide at 4pm on Christmas Eve. Then, if you book an Uber between 4pm and midnight on the 24th, open the menu on the left hand side; hit “Payment”; select “Add Promo/Gift code”; enter the code and tap “Add”.

As long as your journey is scheduled to finish 1:30am you'll get the discount, which is available on standard UBER X bookings for both new and existing users.
