Charity organising festive fun weekend for local community

The first ever Stourbridge Sparkling Spectacular will take over Stourbridge on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th December.

Day one of the festive fun weekend will take place in the grounds of the Mary Stevens Hospice, where guests will be treated to a Winter Wonderland craft market, live music, an all-day barbecue, a full day of children's craft activities, a gift-wrapping service and the chance for local children to meet both Santa and Rudolph.

Then on Sunday 10th, alongside the Hagley Road charity's annual Santa Jog, the festivities will move to Mary Stevens Park where there will be an all-day festive food festival, a full day of live bands and entertainment, the opportunity to watch or take part in the Santa Jog and a free family fun day.

Day one will run from 10:30am to 4:00pm and day two will run from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Both days of the festive weekend have been sponsored in full by Stourbridge Motor House. Laura Millard, Community Engagement Officer, Mary Stevens Hospice said:

“Everything is so exciting and there's so much to look forward to. This time of year is all about coming together as a community and enjoying the remarkable unity that exists here in the Black Country.

"It's our privilege to be so supported by so many families across the region and we hope that they all enjoy what promises to be a truly unforgettable weekend.”

Jason Stewart, General Manager, Stourbridge Motor House, added:

“Stourbridge Motor House are proud to be supporting the first ever 'Stourbridge Sparkling Spectacular' and we look forward to bringing our local community together at the most wonderful time of the year.”
