Community leaders in live Question Time debate

People will be able to quiz top level community leaders from Dudley borough in a live Question Time style internet broadcast.

Key figures from West Midlands Police, Dudley Council, Transport for West Midlands, Dudley College and Dudley Youth Council will be discussing issues affecting the borough via Facebook Live. The special broadcast will air on February 5th, on the Dudley Borough Facebook page from 6-7pm.

People will be able to submit their questions on the night via the Facebook feed which will then be answered by the panel of guests. Black Country Radio will also be broadcasting the debate live, as well as streaming it on their own Facebook page.

The panel will be made up of Councillor Patrick Harley, Leader of Dudley Council; Chief Supt Sally Bourner, Dudley Neighbourhood Policing Unit Commander; Pete Bond, Director of Integrated Network Services at Transport for West Midlands; Harley Keasey, chair of Dudley Youth Council and Neil Thomas, Chief Executive and principal of Dudley College of Technology. Councillor Harley said:

"All the organisations represented on the panel make huge contributions to the local community and it is important people have the opportunity to discuss ideas and share concerns.

"From tackling crime and accessible public transport to services for young people and the work of the council, this is an open and transparent discussion on how we can all make a contribution to improving this borough. I hope people will take the time to submit a question on the night.”

The hour-long session is part of plans to develop the council’s community forums to include more representatives from the community and partners. The discussions will be broadcast live and people will be able to type their questions into the comment box to be submitted to the panel. The panel will do their best to answer all questions in the time available.
