Disabled woman and her children threatened by gunman

Detectives have released images of a man they want to speak to after a disabled woman and her children were threatened on their drive in Tumbler Grove, Wolverhampton on Wednesday 21 February.

At around 10.35am, the woman and the two children were getting into their car, when a man approached them demanding to know where the money was. He threatened the young family with a handgun before neighbours noticed what was happening and intervened. 

The suspect ran up the road and got into the passenger side of a white Toyota Yaris hybrid before driving off towards Wednesfield Road. 

The man is described as black, around 6ft tall and of slim build. He was wearing a hi-vis vest and a bandana across his face. Detective Sergeant Chris Jones, from Force CID, said:

“The young family were visibly shaken and upset by the ordeal which happened in broad daylight. 

“A number of enquires have been carried out in the area and we are hoping someone will recognise this man and contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
