Drug deal suspect remanded in jail over gun and drugs offences

A suspected armed drug dealer has been remanded in prison after West Midlands Police raided two addresses in Walsall.

Officers executed warrants at two properties in the Chuckery area on Friday 5th April and arrested five people.

Mohammed Osman was detained at his home address in Beacon Street and later charged with possessing a 9mm handgun loaded with seven bullets in its magazine, possessing CS spray, and possessing almost 2.5-kg of heroin with intent to supply.

The 28-year-old appeared at Walsall Magistrates Court yesterday (6 April) where he was remanded into prison ahead of his next court appearance.

Four other men aged 18, 22, 24 and 30 were arrested from the second Chuckery address on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs and money laundering; they were released under investigation to allow officers more time to gather evidence.
