Bosses at the Castle Hill attraction are looking to spread the love over half term as they celebrate Love Your Zoo Week!

From Saturday, May 27th until Sunday, June 4th, staff will be encouraging visitors to love the zoo as much as they do through a number of love-themed activities. 

The aim is to spread the message about conservation, education and research work which is undertaken with some of the rarest animals in the world, and has been for 80 years. DZG Marketing Manager, Andrea Hales, said:

“Love Your Zoo Week is an annual celebration at DZG and we’re looking forward to a busy half term.

“There’ll be crafts, colouring and displays in the Discovery Centre’s Rainforest Room, a packed programme of daily animal talks and feeds and meet a critter in the Go Wild! Theatre at 1.15pm and 3.30pm, so there’ll be lots going on for all the family to enjoy.” 

As part of the event, which is organised by the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA), visitors are encouraged to grab their camera, snap their favourite zoo resident over the week and enter a competition to win an adoption for the photographed animal. Entries can be emailed to memories@dudleyzoo.org.uk

Plus, there’ll also be a heart trail around the 40-acre site for the chance to win some limited edition 80^th anniversary memorabilia, with a free Love Your Zoo Week sticker for all entrants.
