Family pull together in a supreme effort for Anntoinette

A fund-raising evening with soul singer, Beverley Knight and other top entertainers, has raised £5,000 for a Wolverhampton cancer patient.

The amount collected brings the total collected for Anntoinette Richards to £36,000.

The event was held at the WV1 Restaurant, within Molineux Stadium, and was a sell out with 160 guests. Alongside Beverley was Wolverhampton singer-songwriter Gareth Esson, Siobhan, Project 21 and DJ Croc. The evening was hosted by Black Country Radio presenter, Matt Dudley, and Actress, Tonia Daley-Campbell.

Speaking about the night, Beverley felt the mix of entertainment, dining, an auction and dancing had been a resounding success. She said:

"I know Antionette will be thrilled with the supreme effort everyone made to support the event. I want to thank all of those who made it such a success - those who attended, donated items for auction and, of course, the outstanding entertainers who gave their all for this very worthy cause."

The family are aiming to raise £85,000 to send Anntoinette to a clinic in Germany for what they hope will be life-saving treatment for her cancer. Further fund raising events are being planned for 2018 in order to reach the target figure and donations are still coming in.
