Halesowen Town Announce Appointment of New Management Committee

Karen Brookes is a business woman who works as an Executive Director of a PLC company

The team have appointed Karen Brookes as the new Chairman of the club, with effect from 1 May 2017, alongside a revamped leadership structure.

Ms Brookes has a long association with The Yeltz through her father, Colin Brookes, who serves as the clubs President. She has been a supporter and has attended many games over the years.

Karen also follows Premier League football, going to at least one game every weekend, she also support England home and away and already attends some Halesowen Town games each season. She is also a business woman who works as an Executive Director of a PLC company, working internationally, though the bulk of her time is spent in the UK. Karen said

“This is a great opportunity to work with an amazing group of people and a club that has a real football heritage. My family’s association with Halesowen Town Football Club spans over 20 years and is a club my Dad feels so passionately about.

"I would like to promise everyone associated with the club, supporters, players and staff that I will do everything I can to support the clubs continued development and will attend as many matches as I am able.

Behind the scenes the fans and supporters of the club can be assured that I will be as hard working and as passionate as my father has been and remains to be.”

​Joining Karen in the new Management Committee are newly appointed Vice Chairman, Dave Hawley; Club Secretary, John Cooper; General Manager, Neil Broughton and Events and Hospitality Manager and Club Welfare Officer, Emma Broughton who will all offer Karen support within her new role.
