Head back to school by tram with new season ticket

With the new term just around the corner, West Midlands Metro has launched a new Child Season Ticket offer for youngsters travelling to school by tram.

Valid until 31st December, and costing just £125, it’s just the ticket for getting to and from class, and out and about when school’s out.

Trams can be boarded at various points across the region, including stops in Bilston and Wednesbury with new routes heading towards Brierley Hill set to open in the next few years. Carl Williams, West Midlands Metro Director of Operations, explained:

“The new Metro Child Season Ticket offers under-16s unlimited tram travel at any time and seven days a week during the autumn term and through to the end of the year. The tram offers the ideal alternative to the using the car for the school run and parents can even spread the cost by choosing to pay by direct debit.

"For a swift and convenient trip to school, it makes sense to take the tram and parents don’t need to worry about making sure their children have change to hand for their fare for if they’ve paid in advance for a season ticket,”

Season tickets are available online at westmidlandsmetro.com, along with details of a £36.50 monthly direct debit option.
