Headteacher charged with making indecent images of a child

A Stourbridge headteacher has been charged with making indecent images of a child, following a police investigation lasting more than a year.

Ross Workman, who was suspended from his role at Oldswinford CE Primary back in November 2014, is charged with six counts of 'making an indecent photograph or pseudo photograph'.

Workman, who led Nailsworth Primary School in Gloucestershire until the end of 2004, was suspended from his job as headteacher when he was arrested on November 3rd.

He was arrested on suspicion of possessing indecent images but police do not believe there is evidence of inappropriate contact with pupils.

The 50-year-old, from Orwell Close, Norton, is due to appear at Dudley Magistrates Court on February 3.
