The legendary family friendly Himley Bonfire and Fireworks will be hero-themed and are set to light up the night’s sky on Saturday 3rd November.

Inspirational heroes and heroines will be celebrated from the world of entertainment, sport as well as family members and people who are just remarkable in their own way.

As a respectful commemoration of the end of World War I, 100 years on, a unique tribute will be paid to those soldiers who heroically battled and for those lost their lives.

The advanced online ticketing means that people can take advantage of a 20% discount off the gate price with a standard adult costs £10, standard child and senior citizen £5.50 and a family ticket (two adults, two children) will set you back £24.

For the first time ever the event will have a premium viewing area on the South Lawns near the hall with uninterrupted views of the fireworks. These premium tickets will be strictly limited and only available online. In addition, also for the first time, there will be a night market as well as a giant funfair, live entertainment and seasonal refreshments. Councillor Patrick Harley, Leader of the council said,

"The Himley bonfire has been a family favourite for over 40 years and is the largest local authority run fireworks event in the country. But this year we have a new contractor with an exciting show and soundtrack to match.

"With the additional introduction of a special night market, we are offering something new to thrill our visitors. The new premium viewing area will have the advantage of an elevated view of the fireworks with a private bar and luxury toilet facilities.

"As this limited number of tickets will be highly sought after I would encourage people to order online before they sell out.”

Gates open at 4.30pm, the bonfire is lit at 7.45pm and a 25 minute fireworks display is at 8.30pm.
