Himley set to sparkle for bonfire

Crowds will be star struck at Himley Hall and Park this weekend when the 43rd annual bonfire and fireworks spectacular event takes place.

The hero-themed evening, which will feature a breath taking 25-minute pyrotechnic display and a towering 1,500 pallet bonfire, takes place on Saturday 3rd November. Dudley Council is expecting over 20,000 people to attend the event, which will feature a moving and thought provoking tribute to people who have fallen in conflict as a respectful commemoration of 100 years since the end of World War I.

Advanced online ticketing is still available and offers a discount of up to 20% discount from the gate price when booked before 11am on the day of the event.

Online prices are standard adult £10, standard child and senior citizen £5.50, family (two adults, two children) £24. Full details can be found at himleyhallandpark.co.uk/bonfire. Councillor Keiran Casey, cabinet member for regeneration and enterprise, said:

"I’m delighted to see all the hard work that’s going into creating this most spectacular event. The team has really upped the firework content for this year and people attending the event will be treated to a cutting edge show that uses some of the latest technologies in pyrotechnics.

"With the event’s hero and heroine theme, we will also turn our thoughts to those who have served and those who currently serve in our Armed Forces and to honour the huge sacrifices people make for our country.”

Gates open at 4.30pm, bonfire lit at 7.45pm and a 25-minute fireworks display is at 8.30pm.
