Home of Metal is looking for Volunteers

Home of Metal is looking for a dedicated team of volunteers to support the upcoming Home of Metal project happening October 2016 – March 2017.

The Home of Metal digital archive is a collection of fans memorabilia & stories celebrating music from Birmingham & The Black Country. This is your opportunity to share your devotion by contributing to its legacy. Black Sabbath legend, Tony Iommi, said:

“I’m really proud to be a Brummie and to call Birmingham my home, that’s why I’m supporting the Home Of Metal events and message.

"Your surroundings and experiences influence your music  so it’s important for people to know where that music came from".

Inspired by Black Sabbath’s final world tour, Home of Metal will capture this unique moment from the perspective of the fans, working together to show the impact and legacy of the band and to celebrate their unique, significant part of British music heritage.

Volunteers will play an important part in the project – collecting stories, organising events and reaching out to fans around the world to harness the global impact of Black Sabbath. Training opportunities will be offered as well as rewards for supporting the project.

If you want to be part of the team, visit the Home Of Metal website and complete the form. You will be invited to a volunteer workshop in October when you can find out more and to meet the Capsule team.
