Viral internet sensation, Jonathan Pie, is to appear in Brierley Hill this summer, it's been revealed.
The spoof roving reporter, whose online rants have been viewed by millions, will headline Live At The Civic at Brierley Hill Civic Hall on Saturday August 24th.
He will be joined on the bill by madcap musical prop duo The Raymond & Mr Timpkins Revue and Brummie comic Jo Enright, who has appeared on TV in the likes of Phoenix Nights and The Job Lot.
Tickets for the show, hosted by local comedy promotion 'Funny Beeseness', went on sale today and are expected to be snapped up quickly. MC and promoter, Wayne Beese, said:
“We’re delighted to be able to bring Jonathan Pie to Brierley Hill. His videos on Donald Trump and Brexit have become the stuff of legend and quickly amassed him a following of millions.
“It will be a great chance to see him live up close and personal, where I’m sure he will be even more passionate on the topics he feels strongly about!
“We’ve also got two incredible acts supporting him. The Raymond & Mr Timpkins Revue got a standing ovation last time we put them on and are not to be missed, while Jo always takes the roof off and will be familiar to people off the telly.
“All in all it promises to be a great summer show of comedy, and we would urge people to get their tickets quickly to avoid missing out.”
The next 'Live At The Civic' show is on Saturday 9th February, and is a triple headline bill with Rachel Parris (The Mash Report, Live At The Apollo), The Chase star Paul Sinha and Tez Ilyas (Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week, Man Like Mobeen) all appearing.
Tickets for both shows, as well as a host of others, are available at funnybeeseness.co.uk.
