Man falls from Birmingham car park

A man has fallen from the multi-storey car park in Brindleyplace.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 4:40pm, to reports of a man falling from the car park. On arrival, they found a man in a serious condition.

He was assessed by paramedics and an armed response unit who were nearby. The car park has been closed and the area has been cordoned off the area whilst they deal with the incident. 

Members of the public are advised to avoid the area until further notice. A spokesperson from Brindleyplace, said:

"We are sorry to confirm that Q-Park at Brindleyplace is currently closed due to an accident this afternoon. Emergency services are at the scene, and have cordoned off the area.

"While cars may be allowed to leave the car park, no vehicles will be allowed access while they deal with the incident."

Members of the public wishing to park there are advised to use alternative car parks such as the Barclaycard Arena or Five Ways. Restricted access to Brindleyplace may be possible, by foot, from the canal or Broad Street.
