Man held in custody over Pedmore hit and run

A Wollescote man who appeared in court after a 15-year-old girl was hit by a car in Stourbridge last week has been remanded in custody.

24-year-old Adnan Ajram from Careless Green is charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop and being unfit to drive through drink or drugs.

It comes after Claudia Visser was hit by a car outside Pedmore Technology College on Grange Lane last Thursday night, leaving her with multiple critical injuries.

Ajram, who has also been charged with other driving offences, will remain in custody before appearing at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court in March.
