Man sectioned under mental health act following Cradley Heath stabbing

A man’s been sectioned under the mental health act after being arrested on suspicion of murder following a fatal stabbing in Cradley Heath.

Martin Briggs was found with fatal stab wounds at a property in Corngreaves Walk on Monday.

A 43 year-old suspect was arrested following assaults with weapons on three other people on Sunday. These are thought to be domestic incidents and none of the injuries are life threatening.

It’s believed the same attacker then stabbed Mr Briggs at his home in Cradley Heath, but his body lay undetected until midday the following day.
