Nearly all homes for sale snapped up

Nearly all the homes for sale as part of an innovating Dudley Council housing project have been snapped up in recent weeks.

Last year Dudley Council embarked on a multi-million pound project to build homes for private sale for the first time in decades. In total 59 homes for sale are being built across four sites, with a further 20 being made available as an affordable option.

With all of the developments expected to complete by the end of the year, a majority of the properties have now been reserved or already sold. Councillor Laura Taylor, cabinet member for housing, communities and residents’ welfare, said:

"We didn’t anticipate that the homes would sell so quickly but I truly believe that’s testament to the quality of homes we are building, which sets us apart from other developers in the private sector.

"We’re really pleased that they’ve had such a positive response with many of the homes selling off plan. We can’t wait for everyone to move in and settle into their new homes.

"This also means that we’ll be creating a return on our investment, which can be ploughed into council services, which will benefit all of our residents in the long term."

Only a few properties are now available to buy on the Mill Grange development. People can take a look around the show home to see the standard of finish on offer, appointments to view can be made by calling the Lee Shaw Partnership’s Stourbridge branch on 01384 396066.

The Mill Grange and Red House Mews homes are being marketed by the Lee Shaw Partnership and the Castle Court homes via Billingham & Co’s Dudley office.
