Thrill-seekers can test out exciting new dodgems and listen to free live pop music when Pat Collins Funfair rolls into Sandwell next month.

Walsall-based Pat Collins Funfair has invested in the state-of-the-art new ride which has a bigger sound and light system, a new driving experience and is more environmentally friendly. They've also booked exciting, high energy three-piece pop and rock band MJM plus DJ Feelgood to entertain families enjoying the buzz of the rides and the fun of the fair. Elleray Harris, marketing manager for Pat Collins Funfair, said:

“We have a long history of running funfairs in Dartmouth Park which is a real jewel in the crown in Sandwell. This year we have a new dodgem ride and live music and we can’t wait to welcome families back especially after the past year and a half where it’s been tough on everyone.

"We also want to reassure visitors about our Covid-19 secure measures to keep everyone safe including our staff.”

The fair arrives in Dartmouth Park on July 9th (from 4pm-10pm) and will run from 12pm to 10pm on Saturday July 10 and Sunday July 11.

Families and groups attending the funfair can expect to follow Covid safety measures, including masks, temperature checks and increased hand sanitiser points. Elleray added:

“Like all entertainment businesses, we have had to adapt and diversify over the past year. That’s why we are offering free live music. Another example is the use of tokens, which we’ve introduced so we don’t handle cash. Visitors can buy our tokens through our website.

Visitors can expect all the traditional family thrills and rides from the whizzing waltzers and the daring dodgems to the colourful carousel and speeding sizzler.
