Pedestrian Dies After Amblecote Car Crash

A 35-year-old man who was hit by a car in Stourbridge at the weekend has died.

The man was taken to hospital after the collision on Amblecote High Street, near Stourbridge Football Club, shortly after 2:30pm on Sunday. Police have now confirmed he died later the same day. Sergeant Alan Wood, from the Regional Collision Investigation Unit, said: "The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with the investigation. "I would appeal to anyone who witnessed what happened or has any information that could help with the investigation to contact us." The road was closed for around three hours whilst officers carried out investigations at the scene. Detectives have appealed for witnesses to come forward by calling 101, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
