Police appeal after Gornal murder

Police in Dudley have launched a murder investigation after a man was stabbed last night.

Officers received a 999 call at 9.40pm from a member of the public reporting a vehicle being rammed in Central Drive, Lower Gornal, and two men being chased by group carrying weapons.

It’s understood one of the men managed to flee the scene but the other man was found critically injured having suffered stab wounds.

The 34-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Quick-time enquiries led officers to an address in the Lower Gornal area where three men aged 32, 36 and 41 were arrested on suspicion of murder. They remain in police custody for questioning.

Anyone with any information about the attack is asked to get in touch.

People can call directly on 101, Live Chat via WMP Live or contact the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
