Police charge third person with Dudley stabbing

Detectives investigating the death of Jaskaran Kang in Dudley have charged a third man with his murder.

Mr Kang, aged 24, from Handsworth was found fatally stabbed at a flat in Stourbridge Road, Dudley on Saturday 6 January.

Dontay Ellis, aged 18 from Central Drive in Lower Gornal, has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Dudley Magistrates Court this morning (Friday 19 January).

Reggie Salmon, aged 20 from Stourbridge Road, Dudley, together with a 17-year-old male teenager from Newcastle-Under-Lyme, who cannot be named for legal reasons, have been remanded into custody after appearing before Wolverhampton Crown court on Wednesday 17 January charged with Mr Kang’s death. They are due to for a crown court trial in July.

We are continuing to appeal for information into the incident and are urging anyone to call 101 giving log number 243 of 6 January. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be called anonymously on 0800 555 111.
