Quinton man jailed for historic sex abuse

A Quinton man who carried out a string of sex attacks on a schoolboy nearly 25 years ago has been jailed for 28 months.

Patrick Skerritt’s crimes finally came to light when his victim contacted police after spotting him working in a children's charity shop.

A judge at Wolverhampton Crown Court told Skerrit his past had finally caught up with him.

Skerritt, of Hagley Road, admitted three charges of indecent assault and told he must register as a Sex Offender for the next 10 years.
