Red House Cone prepares for live music

Lazy Sundays are set for a summer boost with free music entertainment at the Red House Glass Cone in Wordsley this month.

Outdoor chilled performances including jazz and acoustic will take place at the popular visitor attraction every Sunday from 8 to 29 August at 1-1.45pm and 2.15-3pm.

Performers include Alistair Davies, Jazz Lovers UK, Kiel Wilkinson and Strictly Bueno. Councillor Simon Phipps, cabinet member responsible for economic regeneration, said:

"The Red House Glass Cone is a unique visitor attraction that gives people a wonderful opportunity to learn more about our proud glass heritage.

"It’s also a great place to enjoy live music and I’m sure people won’t want to miss this opportunity to hear performances from some very talented musicians."

The canal side visitor attraction is open 10am to 3pm Monday to Friday and 11am to 4pm at weekends.

The visitor centre, shop, upstairs gallery, indoor exhibition spaces, studios and Red Cone Coffee House are now fully open. The cone and hot glass studio are currently closed for building work.
