Salvation Army supports Mayor’s charities with carol service

The Salvation Army in Dudley recently held its Christmas carol service and raised hundreds of pounds in support of the Mayor of Dudley’s charities.

Residents gathered at the Dudley Salvation Army Church on North Street on Sunday (Dec 19) to sing along to Christmas carols with a band and choir.

The Mayor joined the festivities and accepted a generous donation of £532 for her two chosen charities, Black Country Mental Health and The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. Councillor Anne Millward, the Mayor of Dudley, said:

"The service was a wonderful opportunity to get into the festive spirit and listen to some of my favourite Christmas carols.

"I would like to thank the Salvation Army in Dudley for the important work they do and for choosing to support my chosen charities, Black Country Mental Health and The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award at their carol service this year."
