Parents can start applying online for 2018 admissions to both primary and secondary schools across Dudley borough.

Children born between September 1 2006 and August 31 2007 will be transferring to secondary school in September 2018. The application form is available online and the closing date is October 31 2017. 

Children born between September 1 2013 and August 31 2014 are due to start primary school in September 2018. The closing date for applications is January 15 2018. 

Parents can find all the information they need about the borough’s schools, an applications guide, along with the application forms for both primary and secondary admissions at dudley.gov.uk/admissions. Councillor Anne Millward, cabinet member for children’s services, said:

“I’d encourage parents of children due to start primary school or transferring to secondary school next year to start thinking about their application in good time. Forms are now available on line, along with all the information they need about the schools in the borough.

“The online application is quick, safe and secure and you will also receive your school offer promptly by email on ‘offer day’. Parents are encouraged to attend school open days and evenings, where offered, before making their own informed choices.” 

School places at both primary and secondary schools are allocated in strict accordance with admission arrangements.

Parents should not assume their child will be allocated a place at a local school without following the application process, even where an older child is already attending a school.
