Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust continues to be one of the top places to work according the results of the national NHS staff survey.

The trust, which employs over 1,100 staff, has welcomed the results that continue to show improvements with a large proportion of the scores being significantly above the national average.

In the survey, 90 per cent of respondents thought that their role makes a difference to patients, this is the highest score for specialist mental health and learning disability trusts across the country. Over three quarters of respondents believes the care of patients is the Trust’s top priority, significantly higher than similar NHS organisations.

Other areas where we scored highly include staff being able to contribute to improvements at work, staff being satisfied with the quality of care given to patients, and staff believing the Trust acts on concerns raised by patients.

Whilst the majority of the results are very positive there is always room for improvement and we will develop an action plan to address areas where we have scored lower. Mark Axcell, Chief Executive commented
