Still Time To Book A Place To Learn About Fraud Awareness

There’s still time for people to book a place on a session about fraud, scams and rogue traders happening later this month.

Dudley’s community safety partnership, safe & sound, will be holding free sessions at Queens Cross Network on Wednesday 19 April from 10am to noon and 1pm to 3pm. Delivered by Dudley Council, West Midlands Police and the Illegal Money Lending Team, the sessions are suitable for residents and professionals.

They aim to raise awareness of various frauds, scams and loan sharks while providing information on reporting incidents and where to get help and support.

People can find out more and book on to one of the sessions by visiting eventbrite.com and searching for events in Dudley. Mark Rodgers, chief officer responsible for community safety, said:

“Frauds and scams can be difficult to investigate and with the increase in modern technology and online fraud, even more people are falling victim.

“These sessions are a really useful way of raising awareness to help people protect themselves and their money and avoid being taken advantage of by ruthless criminals.”
