Stourbridge man's demand for cash left mother £28,000 in debt

A Stourbridge drink and drug user’s demand for cash, left his widowed mother £28,000 in debt, Wolverhampton Crown Court has heard.

James Ford told his vulnerable mother Christine, who has cancer, he owed money, and unless she gave him the cash, people would come to her Brierley Hill home and pull out her nails.

He also damaged her property when she failed to give him money.

An order was made banning the 28-year-old from having any contact with his mother for three years. Ford, of Brook Street, was also given a three year community order.
