Stourbridge mum braves the shave for charity

Thirty-year-old Rebecca Payne took part in a sponsored head shave to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.

The 30-year-old has raised over £2,500 in memory of the son of one of her work colleagues who passed away in February, aged just seven years old. Rebecca said:

“Ben’s mum, Rebbekah, had asked her friends to collect donations of Body Shop lip balms, which staff at Birmingham Children’s Hospital use in the masks for administering anaesthetic, giving the children a nice taste when they have to go for their ‘special sleep’.

“However, I felt a fire in my belly to do something bigger, so I decided to have my head shaved to raise as much money as possible to donate directly to this incredible hospital.

"I’m still hoping to gather more sponsorship money, so I sincerely appreciate any additional donations!"
