Residents are reminded that they can rate their taxi ride on nights out during the busy festive season.

Dudley Taxi Advisor allows people to rate their journey, driver and travel experience in the cab. The online system gives people the chance to answer a short number of questions about the taxi service and provide overall service satisfaction ratings.

The move has not only been hailed as open and transparent, but also a boost to people’s wellbeing and safety. Councillor Richard Body, chairman of the taxis committee, said:

“This is such an important resource and I would urge people to make full use of it whenever they are travelling in and around the borough, especially at this busy time of year when many people will be getting a taxi home after a festive night out.

“The feedback we, and the taxi companies get help us make sure we are running the best and safest service we can. Best of all, the information is all public so potential passengers can make informed choices before travelling.”
