Tell your best Black Country joke at Sandwell libraries

Sandwell libraries are hoping to have a laugh with local jokers as they celebrate Black Country Day on Sunday 14th July.

Black Country Libraries in Partnership, which includes Sandwell Library and Information service, are holding a Black Country Family Joke Competition – with prizes for the funniest up for grabs.

Anyone with a Black Country joke to share should enter by emailing their entry to Wolverhampton Libraries at mylibraryservice@wolverhampton.gov.uk by 14th July. Library staff will then pick their favourites and post them on Twitter and Facebook.

Then people across the Black Country will get to vote for their  favourite joke by simply liking the post they find funniest. Voting will close on Saturday 27th July. Cabinet member, Cllr Bob Lloyd, said:

“We hear a lot of funny stories around the local towns and it would be great to hear some of them in this competition. I would urge people to get involved – and have a bit of a laugh!
