Thousands of early-birds catch the worm to see Lemar and Matt Terry in the Black Country

Thousands of people from across the UK have secured their discounted early-bird tickets to SummerFest at Himley Hall in July.

The huge family festival will take over the grounds of the Grade 2 listed building on Sunday 15th July, with attractions including fairground rides, a classic car show, a food festival, a cocktail bar, a beer tent, a prince & princess meet and greet, lots of interactive family activities and a full day of music on the main stage, with headline sets by Reggie N Bollie, X Factor winner; Matt Terry, and British pop icon; Lemar.

Tickets were available for the discounted rate of just £15 until the May bank holiday, with thousands of festival-goers snapping them up over the long weekend, some planning to travel from as far away as Telford and Lancashire for the event.

All profits raised through the festival will be donated towards the continuing care of families battling the impact of life-limiting illnesses at Mary Stevens Hospice.

Tickets are still available to buy for £17.50 for ages 14 & over, with children aged 13 & under able to attend the event for free. The event will run from 10am-5pm and car parking is free on site on a first come, first served basis. Laura Millard, Community Engagement Officer, Mary Stevens Hospice said:

“Above all else, we want this festival to be a fantastic community occasion that we can all look back on fondly for many years to come. There's nothing really like it in our area, and that's why we're making it free for children and keeping the prices affordable.

"We want this to be a festival that is accessible for everyone so that everyone gets the opportunity to experience this spectacular day. To have as many tickets already sold as we have is overwhelming, and the difference it will make to our families here at the Hospice simply can't be overestimated.”
