Trial date set for Quarry Bank driver

The trial of a man from Quarry Bank charged with causing death by dangerous driving will take place in October.

30-year-old Jamie Wharton has denied being responsible for the death of Timothy Pearson, who was 23 when he died in a crash in Netherton in June 2014.

He was fatally injured when the car he was a passenger in collided with a wall.

Wharton, from Birch Coppice, has been released on bail but will appear before Wolverhampton Crown Court later this year.
