Tributes Paid To Kingswinford Crash Victim

Tributes have been paid to a ‘loving husband and father’ who died in a Kingswinford collision earlier this week.

James O’Brien, lovingly known as Jimmy, died when his car overturned on Ham Lane at the junction with Stallings Lane on Monday 15th May.

The 28-year-old father of four was treated by emergency services, including the air ambulance, but was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. In a statement his family said:

"Jimmy, was very much loved by all that knew him. He was a loving husband and father, a caring son and an amazing brother and uncle.

"He will be so deeply missed by all that knew him. We ask that the public and media respect our privacy at this time.”

Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes from the Regional Collision Investigation Unit added:

“This is a tragic set of circumstances for all involved. James’s family continue to be supported by our dedicated Family Liaison Team. I would ask at this stage that their privacy is respected.

"I would like to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the collision and has not yet been in touch with police to contact either myself or my team to help us piece together the circumstances."

The Regional Collision Investigation Team can be contacted on 101 or by email at FL_COLLISION_INVEST@west-midlands.pnn.police.uk.
