Wollaston man charged with theft after stealing poppy charity box

A 35-year-old man from Wollaston has been charged with theft, after stealing a poppy charity box.

Kevin Waldron, of Norfolk Road, was charged with the theft of the charity box from Bromleys Butchers in Wombourne last week.

He was also charged with the attempted theft of a poppy charity box from the Co-op store in Wombourne and for stealing food worth £125.50 from the Spar shop.

Waldron was granted conditional bail and must not enter the roads where the shops and butchers are based – he will appear in court on December 1st.
