Tividale secured their first win in 28 games last night, beating Newcastle Town 5-3 in the Evo-Stik Northern First Division South.
Chris Sterling’s double helped the club to victory – just days from what would have been the six-month anniversary of their last win on 26th September.
But despite the win – which was broadcast live on Black Country Radio – Tividale are still 11 points adrift at the bottom of the table, and 12 points from safety.
Elsewhere, in the Midland Football League, Lye lost 4-1 at Shepshed Dynamo, while in the West Midlands Premier, Cradley drew 2-2 with Gornal.
Dudley Sports beat Pegasus Juniors 2-0, Dudley Town lost 3-0 at Stone Old Alleynians, while Tipton went down 4-1 at Bewdley.
