Tuesday night sport round-up

In football, Stourbridge missed out on the chance to go second in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier as their match at Matlock was postponed due to the weather.

The fixture could be re-arranged for the final fortnight of the season, as they are the Glassboys' only two vacant mid-weeks remaining.

In the National League, Kidderminster lost 2-1 at Braintree, while in the West Midlands Premier, Dudley Town won 2-1 at Wellington.

Dudley Sports drew 1-1 at Wolverhampton Sporting Community, while Gornal suffered a 2-1 home defeat to Ellesmere Rangers, and Black Country Rangers lost 1-0 at home to Wellington Amateurs.

Cradley’s match at Bewdley was called off.

And Stourbridge Rugby Club have announced that director of rugby Neil Mitchell has signed a new five-year contract.

Mitchell, who has been at Stourton Park for 13 years, has guided his men to fourth place in the National League Two North table.
