Weekend sport round-up

In football, Stourbridge are just three points off second place in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier table after a 1-0 victory over fourth-placed Darlington.

Leon Broadhurst’s goal on the hour mark sealed the three points, which leaves the Glassboys still in the play-offs in fifth.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Halesowen drew 1-1 at Buxton, while in the First Division South, Tividale drew 0-0 with Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Kidderminster lost 1-0 at home to Bromley in the National League, while Lye won 2-1 at Quorn in the Midland Football League.

In the West Midlands Premier, Dudley Sports won the derby, beating Dudley Town 1-0, while Black Country Rangers drew 2-2 at Bilston and Gornal beat Willenhall 4-1.

Finally in rugby, Old Halesonians won 35-15 at Bromsgrove in National League 3 Midlands, while Dudley Kingswinford lost 24-10 at Worcester Wanderers in Midlands Division 1 West.
