Weekend sport round-up

In football, Stourbridge are still hovering outside the play-off zone, despite a convincing 3-0 home win against Buxton on Saturday in the Evo-Stik Premier.

Not such a good day for Halesowen Town, however, who lost 2-1 at Darlington.  In the 1st division south, Tividale lost 3-0 to Stafford Rangers and remain at the bottom of the table.

Kidderminster Harriers managed a 1-1 draw away at Woking, but still remain at the bottom of the National League.

Midland Football League action saw a 3-0 win for Lye Town at Coleshill, and in the West Midlands Regional, Black Country Rangers beat Gornal 4-0, and were wins for Dudley Town and Cradley Town, while Dudley Sports had a goalless draw at Bewdley.

Today’s Bank Holiday action sees the number 9 derby Between Halesowen and Stourbridge,  Kidderminster Harriers play Tranmere Rovers, and Tividale take on Romulus.

There’ll be a full match commentary of Halesowen and Stourbridge from 2pm this afternoon in a Bank Holiday, Black Country Sports special, and we’ll be kicking of the speedway season from 7pm tonight with reports from Cradley Heathens’ meeting with Belle Vue Colts
