Dave Homer (affectionately known as Balti Dave) started broadcasting at the tender age of 20. His first gig was with The Birmingham Hospital Broadcasting Network (BHBN), based at The Warwickshire County Cricket ground in Edgbaston.
From there he moved to BRMB and became their weekend overnight presenter and, after a few years there, he joined BBC WM working with Ed Doolan on his Sunday morning show.
At 32 Dave decided it was time for a change and opened the very first Balti House in Lye High Street which became an instant success...hence the nickname Balti Dave. But the lure of the mic hadn't deserted him completely. He joined The Bridge in 2011 and the rest, as they say, is history!
