Roy was born and brought up outside of the area, but this part of the world has now been in his life for decades.
After a bit of Hospital Radio, and some DJ'ing in his youth, a love of sport and music brought him to the station a few years ago. Roy looks after the sport side of things and has an interest in documentaries - alongside a number of colleagues at the station he received an honour at the 2015 'New York Festival Radio Awards for "The Diary of a Black Country Mon".
Roy claims to love all aspects of sport, from the amateur to the professional. From the Sunday morning kick-around to the large pulsating stadia events. He has a special fondness for local sport so you'll find him on Saturday's Black Country Sport from 2pm!
Plus, alongside Keith Horsfall, you'll find him presenting Classical Chills each Monday night - a show full of music that you know, some that you don't and the odd track that you didn't know you knew!
